Last night, we celebrated the 2024 William T. Kemper Fellowships for Teaching Excellence, the highest teaching award given at Mizzou. Since 1991<\/a>, Mizzou and Commerce Bank have worked together to recognize MU faculty members who demonstrate a deep commitment to student success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our 2024 Kemper winners are: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022<\/strong> Nicole Campione-Barr<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 professor of psychological sciences, College of Arts and Science <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022<\/strong> Jason Furrer<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 associate teaching professor of molecular microbiology and immunology, School of Medicine <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022<\/strong> Seth Howes<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 associate professor of German, College of Arts and Science <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022<\/strong> Amy M. Knopps<\/a><\/strong> \u2013 associate director of bands and director of athletic bands, College of Arts and Science <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022<\/strong> Chris Prestigiacomo<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 associate teaching professor and Vairam Arunachalam Distinguished Teaching Professor, Robert J. Trulaske, Sr. College of Business<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each fellow was introduced by a former student who shared the profound impact of our faculty. We were proud to honor them alongside their families, students, colleagues and past Kemper recipients. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Kemper Awards Ceremony<\/a> concluded our annual Faculty Excellence Week<\/a>.\u00a0Across multiple events, including a Kickoff Celebration<\/a>, Faculty Book Authors Celebration<\/a> and a Faculty Awards Ceremony<\/a>, our community came together to applaud faculty and their outstanding dedication to teaching, research and meaningful engagement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each day, Mizzou\u2019s world-class faculty make valuable contributions to our state and society. I enjoyed recognizing their many accomplishments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
