Each May, we celebrate Staff Recognition Week<\/a> to thank Mizzou and UM System colleagues for their hard work and support of our impact on campus and across Missouri.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the week\u2019s highlights is the Staff Recognition Awards Ceremony, which on Wednesday drew a great crowd of employees and their families. We especially recognized staff members in attendance celebrating significant service anniversaries<\/a>, including Patty Eggleston (45 years) and Jim Forward (50 years). We also distributed numerous awards<\/a> for staff excellence, including the Chancellor\u2019s Outstanding Staff Awards in six categories:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022<\/strong> Administrative\/Professional \u2013 Crystal Schilling<\/strong>, lead human resources consultant<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022<\/strong> Clerical\/Office \u2013 Michelle Rapp<\/strong>, assistant to the registrar in the School of Law<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022<\/strong> Crafts\/Maintenance \u2013 Michael Nichols<\/strong>, senior reactor irradiation and hot cell technician at the MU Research Reactor<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022<\/strong> Technical\/Paraprofessional \u2013 Ashley Granger<\/strong>, monograph cataloger for Mizzou Libraries<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022<\/strong> Part-time\/Temporary \u2013 Rick Boyce<\/strong>, tutor for the Mizzou Made Academics Program in Athletics<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022<\/strong> UM System \u2013 Phyllis Hawk<\/strong>, executive operations advisor for the UM Board of Curators Office<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Staff are critical to the success of our students and university. Their dedication does not go unnoticed, and we are grateful for their commitment to others. I also want to thank the Staff Advisory Council<\/a> for organizing this important week and for their many contributions throughout the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
