Choi and others breaking ground on a new machine shed during the Graves-Chapple Extension and Education Center field day.\" class=\"wp-image-7418\" \/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Breaking ground on a new machine shed during the Graves-Chapple Extension and Education Center field day.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In the northwest corner of Missouri \u2013 near the border with Nebraska and Iowa \u2013 the <a href=\"https:\/\/extension.missouri.edu\/programs\/graves-chapple\">Graves-Chapple Extension and Education Center<\/a> is at the forefront of promoting local agriculture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the center\u2019s 33rd annual field day this week, we broke ground on a long-awaited machine shed. The project was recently funded thanks to the Missouri General Assembly and their strong support for Missouri agriculture and MU Extension. Curator Todd Graves, elected officials, university leaders and community members joined the celebration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/president.missouri.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/08\/GC-group-photo-scaled-1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/president.missouri.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/GC-group-photo-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"A photo of Rep. Originally formed to promote no-till farming, the center is key to helping extension <a href=\"https:\/\/extension.missouri.edu\/programs\/growing-agribusiness-sustainably\">double the value of Missouri agriculture by 2030<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Friday, I head to another corner of Missouri to attend the <a href=\"https:\/\/moaes.missouri.edu\/t-e-jake-fisher-delta-research-extension-and-education-center\/\">T.E. \u201cJake\u201d Fisher Delta Research, Extension and Education Center<\/a>&nbsp;field day in the Bootheel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2014 Mun<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In the northwest corner of Missouri \u2013 near the border with Nebraska and Iowa \u2013 the Graves-Chapple Extension and Education Center is at the forefront of promoting local agriculture.
