L<\/span>ast week, <\/span>we celebrated <\/span><\/span>a<\/span>n incredible<\/span> $25 million gift<\/span><\/span><\/a> to the <\/span><\/span>Kinder Institute on Constitutional Democracy<\/span><\/span><\/a> from Rich and Nancy Kinder<\/span> and the Kinder Foundation<\/span> \u2013 bringing their total contribution to $60 million.<\/span><\/span> <\/span> Hall of a $25 million gift by Rich and Nancy Kinder and the Kinder Foundation to the Kinder Institute on Constitutional Democracy. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

One speaker at the announcement was <\/span>Paul Odu<\/span><\/a>, a senior from Kansas City, who learned the day before that he was a finalist for the Rhodes Scholarship. In December, Paul will receive degrees in economics and constitutional democracy and has participated in numerous Kinder programs, including <\/span>the Society of Fellows<\/span><\/a> and off-campus opportunities in <\/span>Washington, D.C.<\/span><\/a> and <\/span>Oxford, England<\/span><\/a>.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his remarks, Paul shared how \u2013 as a son of first-generation Nigerian immigrants \u2013 the Kinder Institute helped open doors he never thought possible. Thanks to Rich and Nancy\u2019s continuing generosity, the resources available to students like Paul are among the best anywhere.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
