Dear Mizzou community:
We’re thrilled to welcome you to a new semester at Mizzou! Thanks to the dedication of our students, faculty and staff, our community has already accomplished so much this academic year. Among our many achievements, we climbed to #4 best value among all public universities, extended our teaching, research and engagement mission to each of Missouri’s 114 counties and engaged in high-impact scholarship that contributed to record research expenditures of over $500M. In athletics, Football scored a memorable win in the TransPerfect Music City Bowl, Men’s Basketball defeated archrival KU, while Volleyball made it to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament.
In 2025, we have ambitious plans to deliver even more for those we serve and to prepare skilled leaders for the future. Through MizzouForward, we continue our $1.5 billion investment in student success, faculty excellence and infrastructure growth. We are also progressing on important initiatives that support our mission and bring pride to our state, including a new state-of-the-art research reactor, NextGen MURR, and the Memorial Stadium Centennial Project. Looking ahead, we are thrilled to launch an innovative brand campaign sharing our relentless pursuit of excellence.
We appreciate your support for one another and your help upholding our commitment to civil discourse and intellectual pluralism. Together, we can keep our campus a safe, respectful place where those from all backgrounds, experiences and perspectives can get involved and make a difference. We are proud to be Missouri’s flagship, land-grant university and one of America’s leading research institutions as part of the Association of American Universities. We are also grateful that you are a part of our community.
Have a great semester!
